On the 29th of April 2021 I got interviewed by Neil Ashworth. I didn't have any questions before hand, and when I had asked him what I should prepare he just gave me a brief outline consisting of 5 lines and 20 words. I was incredibly worried. You would think being a jazz musician I would be great under pressure, but here's the thing - I'm not a great jazz musician. I just find it really difficult to get comfortable when I know I'm being filmed or recorded. Also, I get so nervous when I'm answering to someone, it's really weird. Same goes for when I'm in the studio. I could have practiced the music a billion times, I'm still so very nervous. I'll probably get it in the 1st or 2nd take, but if we can do more, I'll be begging the sound engineer to do it again, and again, and again, and again.
Anyway, back to the interview. It went surprisingly well. After about 10 minutes I was feeling a bit more comfortable when answering questions. Neil had done his research, you could tell by the questions he was asking me.
You can listen to the interview just about anywhere. There are also great episodes featuring some great artists, including one of my friends Little Green
